How to setup Sound Files on the Microsd card

How to Setup MicroSd Card

SETUP

SCARESOUNDS.COM           MicroSD CARD SETUP FORMAT

The JS100-8/JS150-8 speaker system has the following inputs:

Qty 2 inputs located on 1/4" jacks for accessory triggers (gun, foot pedal or hand-held button)

Qty 6 inputs located on green connector/terminal strip

Use 3 digit xxx.wav format for sound files. Your sound files can be named anything you like as long as it starts with a 3 digit number for the trigger number then anything you like then end with  .wav. EXAMPLE 003clown.wav or 002gunshot.wav or 008scream.wav, etc.

Attention:

** MicroSd Cards need to be formated as FAT 16 or FAT 32 and up to 32 GB in size

** Sound files need to be 16-bit, 44.1k, MONO

**Sound files cannot contain METADATA in the file itself. This can be seen in     Audacity/EDIT/Metadata**. All fields should be blank, if not press CLEAR then save.

**Windows 11 users take note. Windows BitLocker should be disabled. If it is enabled in your Windows 11 computer, it hides encryption data in the sound file which renders the sound file unplayable and unrecognizable by the digital sound board build into the Scare Sounds system. Here is how to handle this:

How to disable BitLocker  in Windows 11

  1. Search for Manage BitLocker in the Windows search bar
  2. Click Open
  3. Click Turn off BitLocker on the drive to decrypt (MicroSd card or USB to MicroSd card adapter)

Sound files are as follows:

 002.wav

 003.wav

 004.wav

 005.wav

 006.wav

 007.wav

Background Music (plays continuously/loops)

 009.wav Background Music/Ambient Sounds

A jumper (Red in color) on header pin 09 of the Red sound engine board located inside the speaker behind the black control panel controls background music as to be enabled or not. It is not necessary or recommended to access this jumper.

To disable background music or ambient sounds, simply do not have a sound file 009.wav located on your microsd card OR have a sound file 009.wav located on your microsd card with a sound file of silence that is short in length (such as 1/2 second).

Sound files 010 thru 016 can be used to have multiple sounds trigger one after the other. Example, the gun trigger can fire a sound, then each time you fire the gun, it can play 4 different sounds in order. Or a drop down window can trigger 3 or 4 different sounds in order.

Sound Files

 010.wav

 011.wav

 012.wav

 013.wav

 014.wav

 015.wav

 016.wav

are to be used in conjunction with the inputs to have extra sounds. Example, gun #1 can have 4 extra sounds that can play in sequence & repeat OR they can be random.
